Description

At Bayer, we're seeking a Product Agronomy Specialist III to join our team in Nebraska. As a key player in our research and commercial brand teams, you will develop and oversee both short and long-term testing programs for experimental and commercial products and hybrids.

Your role will involve monitoring development throughout the season, collecting biological data from field and strip plots, and presenting agronomic insights to our research and commercial teams. You will arrange and conduct plot tours, provide product knowledge for product and hybrid evaluation, and make recommendations for new product and hybrid development.

As a Product Agronomy Specialist III, you will bridge R&D and our US Commercial business, facilitating local field testing, evaluation, and product positioning. You will engage with Product Teams to develop National Protocols and lead Local Technical Teams (LTT) in creating Regional Protocols.

Key responsibilities include applying recommendations from statisticians on trial design to meet protocol objectives and align with field testing capabilities, identifying and securing testing sites that meet protocol criteria, and collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data to influence product positioning and stakeholder confidence.

You will also ensure compliance with company Trait Stewardship requirements and facilitate Product Performance Inquiry Processes, consult with germplasm FSRs and TAs, coordinating with internal field testing functions to support our product pipeline, and identify new market opportunities and lead the development of trials for valued customer outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related discipline, excellent understanding of Bayer germplasm, traits, and crop protection in the assigned geography, and ability to make recommendations and develop enhanced agronomic systems.

You will also need to have strong technical and sales support skills with regional influence, obtain and maintain a pesticide applicator certification in the state(s) within the territory, and be proficient at working with and leading all personality types, developing and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional qualifications include a valid driver's license and 10 years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development, or R&D roles, or a Master's or Ph.D. in Agriculture or a related discipline.
