Financial Controller

Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc., a privately held family corporation and a long-standing manufacturer for the Music Industry located in Benicia, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have significant Accounting and Costing experience in the manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for all accounting and reporting, decision support analysis, cash management, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily accounting operations
• Preparing Monthly Financial Statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flows, Management Recommendations, and Forecasts
• Advising Management on Recommendations and Financial Analysis
• Implementing Procedures and internal controls as the company grows
• Providing Strategic Planning
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing and presenting financial statements, reports, and analysis
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies
• Cash Flow Management: Monitoring and managing cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable
• Payroll: Responsible for completing the Salary Payroll process
• Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of finance professionals

Requirements:

• Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or CMA a plus
• Professional Experience: 5-10 years experience as a controller in a manufacturing environment
• Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software and tools
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to long-term financial planning
• Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Manufacturing Experience required
