At Bayer, we're seeking a Junior Production Planner to join our Supply Chain Management team. As a Junior Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing production capacity and forecasting demand to ensure timely delivery of products
- Coordinating with manufacturing teams and monitoring inventory levels, adjusting plans as necessary to minimize disruptions
- Assisting in developing and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels
- Supporting the production planning team in monitoring production performance and reporting on key metrics
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on production requirements
- Helping manage inventory levels and assisting in the procurement of raw materials and components as needed
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions for optimizing production processes
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production planning activities
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or supply chain management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is also required. Relevant internship or co-op experience in production planning or supply chain management is preferred.
As a Junior Production Planner, you can expect to be paid a salary between $71,120.00 and $106,680.00, with additional compensation possible through bonuses or incentive programs. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
