Description
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team at Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake, OH.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be a critical leader responsible for shaping culture, driving performance, and directly impacting the quality and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance
- Lead and direct a team of employees to consistently make high-quality products and meet or exceed production targets
- Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency
- Apply a 'Bias for Action' to promptly and decisively address safety and quality issues
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals
- Utilize data and insights to drive quantifiable improvements in efficiency and quality
- Maintain a relentless focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, improving processes, and driving innovation
- Proactively address and mediate conflicts fairly and effectively
- Champion accountability, managing both your own performance and that of the hourly workforce
- Actively listen to and value the perspectives of all team members and other department stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and/or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
