Description
Phillips Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their Phillips Additive Manufacturing Solutions (AMS) division. The team specializes in additive and subtractive manufacturing, aiming to be the world leader in this field. The role involves technical mastery, customer partnership, and innovation to make Phillips the world's best supplier of manufacturing technology.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, specifically Siemens NX
- Experience running CNC machines (3, 4, and 5-axis), preferably with Haas controls
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine tool operations and strategies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to travel extensively (60-80%) for customer visits, with all costs covered
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with customers to solve complex manufacturing challenges using AMS solutions
- Developing innovative additive and subtractive strategies on Haas Hybrid platforms
- Creating, simulating, and validating advanced CNC and DED toolpaths
- Delivering hands-on training to customers and internal teams
- Conducting demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and test cuts
- Exploring and refining cutting-edge additive and subtractive processes, tooling, and materials
- Developing repeatable process templates for common applications
- Evaluating the impact of build variables on metallurgical properties and translating findings into practical guides
- Working cross-functionally with various teams to support customer acquisition and retention
- Creating detailed application reports and technical content
The expected pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $110,000 per year.
