This newly created role is a critical addition and unique opportunity to support the continued growth of Figma’s global People Relations (ER) function. This role sits at the center of complex, high-impact work–navigating sensitive employee matters, shaping scalable and globally consistent practices, and transforming our People Relations function into a proactive, data-informed partner to the business. You’ll collaborate closely with People Partners, Employment Legal, our BEI team, and senior leaders to influence culture, strengthen our organisational health, and ensure Figma balances sustainable growth with maintaining a high bar for employee experience and integrity.

You’ll design Figma’s employee relations strategy in concert with the Director, People, and directly own the global execution of said strategy, such that it’s aligned with our company values, risk posture, and company growth plans.

Directly manage and develop a global team of 4 ER professionals that enhances ER capabilities across regions while balancing jurisdictional and cultural nuance with company norms.

Provide oversight and guidance on complex and sensitive investigations globally, and personally lead or co-lead the highest-risk investigations in partnership with Employment Legal.

Guide or advise on complex accommodation, leave, and/or performance matters in partnership with your team, Benefits, BEI, and Employment Legal.

Act as a strategic thought partner to People Partners and senior leadership on employee risk, performance management, and broader organisational health, with a demonstrated ability to balance legal risk, employee experience, and business realities with recommendations and decision-making.

Elevate manager capabilities in navigating employee matters such as performance concerns, interpersonal conflict, and other employee issues.

Own ER data hygiene, reporting, and trend analysis, and use insights to inform leadership decisions, resourcing, and policy evolution.

Operate with a continuous improvement mindset with regard to ER processes in a way that centres efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
