Sr. Staff Product Owner, Accounting Systems

Job Description

Join the IT Enterprise Systems team at Pinterest as a Sr. Staff Product Owner, Accounting Systems. You'll help build the next generation of accounting capabilities, improving efficiency, controls, decision-making, and user experience across the accounting ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Possess a mix of technical strength, business strength, and the ability to navigate stakeholders across different business areas
• Build cross-functional relationships across engineering and business peers to ensure objectives are well-defined and clearly understood
• Communicate strategy, priorities, and consistent product messaging to stakeholders and users
• Own, prioritize, communicate, and evangelize accounting product roadmap across IT and business stakeholders
• Engage the business to identify their needs and spot opportunities to build features that increase engagement and drive efficiencies
• Ensure product directions balance user needs and business goals
• Define product strategy, roadmap, and execution for accounting and finance systems and workflows
• Partner with Accounting, IT, Engineering, Data, and vendors to identify opportunities for simplification, efficiency, and stronger user experience
• Apply strong judgment to where AI should be used, ensuring appropriate validation, controls, and human accountability
• Help modernize accounting operations through process, technology, and enablement improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 15 years product management experience with minimum 4+ years in a product role in a global organization
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Significant product ownership or product management experience in accounting systems
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and the ability to connect technology investments to business value
• Experience driving systems implementations or transformations across multiple accounting process areas
• Demonstrated hands-on use of AI in real business workflows
• Strong judgment in validating AI outputs, managing risk, and maintaining ownership of final decisions and outcomes

Salary Information

The base salary range for this position is $178,255-$366,996 USD.
