Operations Engineer

As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects, developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions.

You are a customer-obsessed leader who will play an integral part in planning and implementation of the facility network infrastructure, including new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex project lifecycles across organisations and geographies, delivering on objectives and targets as project owner
• Participating in engineering reviews, providing tangible impact on system solutions, architecture, and facility processes
• Partnering with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to set priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules
• Leading execution of systems and automated equipment designs per established standards
• Facilitating effective meetings with clear objectives and appropriate stakeholders
• Communicating project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans promptly and accurately
• Articulating system and equipment designs, including layouts, specifications, and capabilities to internal customers and partners
• Managing change orders, purchase orders, and invoice approvals efficiently
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects
• Identifying and leading process improvement initiatives that enhance team efficiency and deliver cost-effective solutions

This role requires up to 80% travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.
