This role owns electrical system readiness, integration risk, and sign-off evidence delivery ahead of critical program gateways, often under conditions of incomplete design maturity, evolving software content, and constrained parts availability. The position serves as a primary VISE interface to Program Teams, Systems Engineering, D&R, and Test Operations.
In this position...
The VISE People Leader for TPV, FDJ and DCV Engineering has section-level accountability for the engineering teams responsible for early-stage electrical architecture integration and system-level breadboard validation. This role leads three critical workstreams: TPV/Mule Systems Integration, FDJ (Final Data Judgement) Breadboards, and DCV (Design Confirmation Vehicle) Breadboards.
You will oversee the transition from upfront architectural bridging and "Yellow Board" configurations to full-scale electrical system sign-off. This position serves as a primary VISE interface to Program Teams, Systems Engineering, and Test Operations, ensuring that prototype vehicles and lab assets are built, commissioned, and tested to meet rigorous GPDS milestones.
What you'll do...
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing organization of engineers focused on TPV, DCV, and FDJ E/E integration, establishing technical direction and fostering accountability. Ensure sign-off documentation, evidence completion, and status visibility for program gateways. Set priorities and manage trade-offs across competing program and feature demands to protect milestone delivery.
TPV/Mule Integration: Direct upfront electrical systems integration design, including architecture selection, bridging design, translator box development, and surrogate part selection for early prototype builds.
Breadboard (BB) Strategy & Execution: Own the end-to-end lifecycle for FDJ and DCV breadboards, from initial BOM validation and part ordering to commissioning and feature-level functional testing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with D&Rs, and Feature Owners to ensure TPV, FDJ, and DCV Breadboards and flashed, configured, and supported throughout the test cycle.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in E/E integration, validation, or prototype testing environments.
Demonstrated leadership of complex, multi-program technical activities.
Even better, you may have...
Experience with Engineering Breadboards (EBB) or system-level testing.
Experience supporting electrified or high-voltage E/E systems.
Experience managing gateway deliverables and driving issue resolution.
You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
