Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript)

We are seeking a Backend Developer to contribute to backend services and tooling that support the Global business at Lush.

The successful candidate will develop custom software, including REST APIs, GraphQL subgraphs, and integrate with third-party solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clear, maintainable code that scales across projects and distributed development teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, QAs, designers, and partners to solve challenging problems.
• Refactor, review, and maintain existing enterprise application codebases.
• Research and implement innovative techniques and features to enhance the development process.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience.
• TypeScript-first developer with experience in native libraries.
• Ability to translate product or business requirements into technological initiatives.
• Experience with an ORM such as Prisma or Drizzle.
• Strong working knowledge of Git.
• Experience building web applications using web frameworks such as Express, Hono, etc.
• Experience building GraphQL APIs, specifically using Apollo Federation.
