We are seeking a Lean CI Senior Production Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we're constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency.
In this position, you will use and have a thorough understanding of Six Sigma, Lean and Problem-Solving Methodologies and Ford Production System (FPS) approach to improve all areas of the business. You will implement and lead Ford NA Six Sigma strategy within manufacturing plant, coach Plant OCM and Green belts in strategic problem solving and Six Sigma methodologies, and coach, lead and assist problem solving teams at Ford facilities and suppliers.
You will also teach Six Sigma Green Belt classes and help prepare students for certification, coach and teach Ford Production System methods including standards and project selection, and run 6 Sigma Kaizen projects to support resolution of significant issues. Additionally, you will liaise with other business units on best practices and 6 Sigma knowledge, support implementation of Ford Production System standards and continuous improvement tools, and drive implementation of continuous improvement methodology and sustainability strategies with plant leadership.
A successful candidate will have a High School Diploma, Six Sigma Certified, and 2-3 years' experience as a Process Coach. Education: Bachelor's Degree, Safety and Quality experience preferred, Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, Knowledge of constraint management principles, Prior experience managing a unionized workforce, Black Belt Certified, Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends, Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput.
