FBS Data Engineer

We seek a Data Engineer with a strong P&C insurance background to analyze business data stories and translate them into technical requirements. The ideal candidate can independently design, build, test, and implement data products of various complexity with minimal guidance.

The Data Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency. They will also collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and implement data products of various complexity
• Analyze business data stories and translate them into technical requirements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency

Requirements:

• Must have skills in DBT, Snowflake, SQL, and Python/PySpark
• Experience in Financial Industry is a must, and knowledge of working with finance data, banks, or insurance sectors is required
• Agile methodology, software development, and data development experience is a plus
• Shell Scripting and Power BI experience is a plus
