The Director, Global IT Audit role at Ford Motor Company involves providing a wide perspective on the company's automotive, credit, and electric vehicle domains. The successful candidate will have exposure to various leading-edge technologies, including AI, connected vehicles, and software development.

As a senior leadership role, the Director, Global IT Audit will establish a strong leadership presence and interact with senior leaders across technology, up to the CIO and CISO. The role involves driving the implementation of a risk-based auditing approach and embracing change to identify key risk areas for the enterprise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the organization's business processes, goals, and strategy
  • Conducting benchmarking across industries and developing a strong peer network
  • Researching industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Performing risk assessments, developing audit plans, and executing audit work
  • Developing a risk-based technology audit plan and assisting in assessing areas of risk
  • Supporting organization transformation initiatives and pilots of new processes
  • Identifying areas of business initiatives and changes in technology environments and assessing their impact on internal audit
  • Partnering with the global business audit team and interacting with internal Cyber Defense, internal controls, and Security Policy teams

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, with an advanced degree in business being an advantage
  • At least 5 years of technology audit or information security experience
  • 10+ years of software design and delivery experience
  • Audit certification (CIA, CISA, and/or CISSP) being preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of industry security frameworks and understanding of inherent risks and/or control risks
  • Experience leading global and diverse teams, supplier relationship management, and transforming a global audit team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

The role requires at least 25% travel across all regions.
