UX Writer, AI

Figma is growing its team of creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all.

We're looking to grow Figma's UX Writing team. As a UX Writer, you'll use language to shape how people interact with AI, crafting better inputs and defining clear, consistent outputs.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to overall product strategy around Figma's offerings
• Define best practices for writing in AI-powered products
• Partner closely with product designers, product managers, engineers, and fellow UX writers
• Oversee language across a broad product suite
• Measure and evaluate the quality of AI-generated language
• Create, collaborate, and iterate on the user experience
• Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience crafting simple, intuitive language solutions for complex user experiences
• Proficient in collaborating in design and technical environments like Figma and GitHub
• Skilled at developing systems-oriented, cohesive product narratives
• Fluent in the behavior and architecture of modern AI products
• Effectively partners with cross-functional teams and leadership

Nice to Have:

• Experience writing system prompts or designing agent behaviors
• Experience working directly with code, APIs, or developer tooling
• A track record of leading 0-to-1 initiatives in ambiguous spaces
