Sr. Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect for our FSI customer in Zurich. As a Sr. Solutions Architect at Databricks, you will be an essential part of our mission to make data science and analytics accessible to everyone.

The impact you will have:

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executives in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritisation and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd-party applications.
• Be a champion for both customers and colleagues, operating as an expert solutions architect and trusted advisor for significant data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.

What we look for:

• Experience in complex customer interactions and the sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by building relationships and orchestrating teams to achieve long-term customer success.
• Prior experience coding in a core programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and a willingness to learn basic Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical solutions for specialised customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
• Prior expertise in the regulated FSI vertical is an advantage.
• Fluent in English. Fluent in German is a plus.
