At Bayer, we're seeking a Primary Care Sales Consultant to join our team in Nashville. As a Primary Care Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing sales strategies for our Cardiorenal product and driving launch activities for an anticipated menopause product. You will develop, coordinate, and implement a strategic business plan for Primary Care Physicians in the Community settings.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include building and developing professional relationships with primary care and pharmacy staff, driving appropriate utilization of approved CV and menopause products, leveraging expertise and knowledge of diabetes and menopause marketplace, and providing relevant, thoughtful input to other commercial colleagues.
You will also prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential, understand fully the assigned customers' product and business needs, and work to meet those needs while adhering to all of Bayer company ethics and compliance standards.
In addition, you will anticipate potential barriers to achievement of goals and propose responsible solutions for success, handle customer objections effectively, and exceed customer expectations with the value you bring to physicians.
Occasionally, you will be called on to share your exemplary skills with others in the region in a training capacity, leverage and embrace emerging technologies to enhance performance, and continuously strive to improve your proficiency.
You will understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations and apply high ethical standards in day-to-day work.
We seek an incumbent who possesses a Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant Sales or Healthcare experience in competitive landscapes in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or other relevant experience, and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, at least 5 years of successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical sales experience in competitive landscapes, in-depth knowledge in the cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states, product launch experience, strong analytical and computer capabilities, virtual sales experience, and strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market.
