Description

At Bayer, we're seeking a Field Sales Representative to join our team in Nebraska. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing the market share of our seeds & traits business in the Central Western region of Wisconsin. You will support demand for our products through Seed Professionals, exclusive independent Channel seed reps. Your primary responsibilities will include achieving assigned targets with our products, developing and implementing Professional Seller business plans, managing forecasting, inventory management, and product line demand issues. You will also serve as the key business consultant to Seedsmen and their sales teams to ensure they can effectively sell the value of our Crop Science products.

In this role, you will identify service gaps in your local market and help recruit new Seed Professionals to increase market penetration where appropriate. You will demonstrate proof of product performance against the competition by being the champion of our brands and product/technical/agronomic knowledge. You will collaborate with pod mate Field Sales Representatives, Customer Business Advisors, and Bayer Agronomists to maximize services, information, and sales to preferred growers and key customer accounts.

You will actively manage inventory concerns to ensure success in meeting business objectives. You will gather, assimilate, and analyze market and competitive information and utilize data to make key decisions to drive the business. You will follow set strategies for achieving long and short business plans and effectively manage expenses, discretionary dollars, and program payments per Bayer Crop Science policy.

You will show initiative in expanding selling skills and product/portfolio knowledge. You will ensure achievement of program execution and program fulfillment, including national/regional marketing initiatives. You will successfully partner with pod mate Field Sales Representatives and manage the local relationships between Seed Professionals, retailers, dealers, and top growers.

You will act as the business expert for top growers and Seed Professionals, while planning for customer business needs. You will act as a mentor to Field Sales Representative interns, Trainees, or more junior Field Sales Representatives as requested by leadership. You will manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy and process through effective problem-solving, execution, administration, and resource management.

Travel will be approximately 60% (primarily day travel in the listed geography).
