Description
The Senior Manager, Audio Visual, SNFL is a key role at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, the largest circulating library in the NYPL system.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audio/visual production and technological needs for a range of events and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing AV equipment inventory, contracts, and scheduled maintenance
- Supporting branch and program staff with AV assistance and advice
- Training, managing, and scheduling a team of full- and part-time AV technicians
- Coordinating with colleagues on live event production logistics
- Organizing accessibility services for programs
- Making decisions related to production needs in coordination with the Facilities Department and Security teams
- Engaging with cross-functional teams and Senior Leadership
- Participating in the hiring process for new AV and technology roles
- Managing SNFL room reservations
- Providing expert AV consultation to branch staff across NYPL
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of management/supervisory experience
- 7-10 years of experience working professionally in audio visual settings and event productions
- Experience with directing and setting up video and audio for live stream broadcasting/recording of live events and meetings
- Experience with audio and video editing software, primarily Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with focusing professional lighting fixtures for stage lighting
The role requires excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and shifting priorities.
