Physical Therapist Assistant

Join our team as a Physical Therapist Assistant. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to work in our outpatient rehab setting.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care. You will assist with exercises, treatments, and education to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress assessments
• Implement exercise programs and provide patient education on proper techniques and safety precautions
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of treatment plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
• Completion of a physical therapist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Current licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state of South Carolina
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a physical therapist assistant
• Certification in CPR and first aid
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
