Senior Software Engineer - Backend

As a Senior Software Engineer - Backend, you will work on building infrastructure and products for the Databricks platform at scale. Our backend teams focus on various domains, including OS/container systems, serverless infrastructure, partner integration, and machine learning infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building the Databricks serverless platform for big data, machine learning, and Gen AI workloads
• Developing cutting-edge OS, container, and networking technologies for the Databricks infrastructure
• Creating a partner ecosystem for Databricks SQL and supporting partner integrations
• Designing a multi-language, multi-user collaborative REPL experience for Databricks users
• Building tools and platforms for Databricks engineers to develop, deploy, and operate services

Requirements:

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, Golang, C++, or similar languages
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and SaaS platforms
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with security and systems that handle sensitive data

Pay Range: $157,700 - $213,800 USD
