Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. As a Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern, you'll contribute high-quality code to Palantir's Gotham product, working on mission-critical products for the modern warfighter.
The Role: Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organizations use data. You'll be paired with a mentor and collaborate with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customers' problems and build products that tackle them.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ownership: See projects through from beginning to end
- Collaboration: Work with people from various backgrounds, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers
- Trust: Effectively handle time and priorities, with space to think independently
Technologies We Use:
- Varying languages, including Java and Go for backend and Typescript for frontend
- Open-source technologies like Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux
- Industry-standard build tooling, including Gradle and GitHub
What We Value:
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse individuals
- Willingness to learn and make decisions independently
What We Require:
- Engineering background in fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Physics
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and technical tools
- Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
- Experience coding in programming languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript
- Planning to graduate in 2028
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $10,500/month.
