Description

The Senior Global Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for executing and coordinating domestic and international shipping, receiving, inventory control, export compliance, import operations, and warehouse activities. This position serves as a subject matter expert for global logistics operations and ensures the timely, compliant, and efficient movement of equipment, parts, and customer deliveries worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute domestic and international shipments via various modes of transport.
  • Coordinate import and export activities with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and export licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations such as ITAR, EAR, and DG.
  • Support customer deliveries, field deployments, and sustainment activities.
  • Coordinate Dangerous Goods shipments and receive, inspect, and process incoming materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate logistics issues.
  • Partner with teams to support operational objectives and implement process improvements.
  • Train and mentor junior specialists and support logistics training.
  • Provide shipment status updates and logistics reporting.

Required qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Experience with international shipments and customs processes.
  • Knowledge of export control regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or government programs.
  • Dangerous Goods certification.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Forklift certification.
