Description
At Ford Motor Company, we're seeking a VEV Systems Integration Engineer to join our Product Development team. As a key member of our team, you will lead physical validation deliverables for major program milestones, drive pre-test readiness, troubleshoot Design Verification (DV) issues, and provide requirement assessment documentation. You will also coordinate FDJ electrical breadboard build, order electrical parts, and build electrical FDJ breadboard setup in the electrical laboratory. Additionally, you will create test plans, manage software implementation, maintenance, and testing on Breadboard in support of milestone delivery. Your exceptional integrity and ability to operate with a self-motivated attitude will enable you to deliver Global Product Development System (GPDS) gateway/milestones on time to established acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Lead physical validation deliverables for major program milestones, including FDJ and DCV milestones
- Drive pre-test readiness and troubleshoot Design Verification (DV) issues
- Provide requirement assessment documentation
- Coordinate FDJ electrical breadboard build, including vehicle specification and bill of material creation
- Order electrical parts in coordination with purchasing teams
- Build electrical FDJ breadboard setup in the electrical laboratory in coordination with operations team
- Create test plans according to vehicle feature content
- Manage software implementation, maintenance, and testing on Breadboard in support of milestone delivery
- Operate with exceptional integrity to deliver Global Product Development System (GPDS) gateway/milestones on time to established acceptance criteria
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- 1 year of experience with each of the following skills:
+ Vehicle and breadboard feature testing and signoff + CANalyzer, Diagnostic Engineering Tool, and python scripting + Utilizing Issue tracking software, including JIRA + Schedule and execute test cases of electrical feature requirements specified in JAMA or Testrail + Develop, maintain, and update simulator hardware and software model test systems for automotive validation testing + Utilizing MATLAB and Simulink for test simulation + Utilizing Teamcenter software package, designing electrical systems, and testing electrical functionality by using electrical and software components
We are offering a salary of $77,792.00 - $190,500.00/yr.
