Description
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to assist the Sr. Carpenter in the maintenance and repair of fixtures or surfaces in a cost-efficient manner that is in compliance with Company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Always perform quality repairs on carpentry-based items as directed by the reporting officer. Always action assigned defect chits in a timely manner and to the highest standard possible. Effectively and efficiently manufacture or construct carpentry projects using both rough and finishing carpentry techniques as directed by the reporting officer. Always maintain the Carpenter's Workshop in a clean, tidy and well organised manner. Work closely with the Carpenter to ensure required backup materials are ordered in a timely fashion. Always execute all work in the most cost-efficient way and assist to achieve all financial goals set by the Company.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have accrued at least 12 months experience working as a carpenter or similar industry role. Carpenter background with preferable ship experience, shipyard or workshop ashore. Carpenter equipment knowledge (circular saw, drill, etc.). Able to varnish and paint.
