Description
We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our Security Engineering team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for creating the vision and defining the strategy for security infrastructure. Your impact will be significant, making Databricks safer for our customers by identifying and plugging key gaps in our infrastructure and services. You will also attract top talent from across the industry, represent the security engineering discipline throughout the organization, and represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.
To be successful in this role, you will need 9+ years of experience in data security or related areas, with expertise in two or more of the following: cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, governance, privacy, trust, safety, authentication, identity management, access control, key management, inter-service authentication, secure application frameworks, and detection and response. You will also need 15+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability, leadership skills, strong communication skills, a bias to action, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to have a strong understanding of the company's goals and objectives, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
