Senior Front End Software Engineer - Application Development

A Senior Front End Software Engineer focused on application development in Palantir's Foundry platform will craft tools used by thousands of users to build sophisticated applications. They will architect and develop interfaces, state management, and access patterns to support data-intensive workflows. The engineer will work collaboratively with teams to identify product gaps and improve user experiences. They will also engage with signal directly from forward-deployed engineers and deployment strategists to rapidly evolve the product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring within the community of engineers and building shared frontend tooling.
• Architecting and building for high-scale data-intensive APIs.
• Developing interactive workflow UIs.
• Building products that make technical concepts accessible for non-technical users.
• Creating low-code/no-code WYSIWYG tools.
• Building the user experience for pro-code tools.

Technologies Used:

• Typescript, React, and GQL.
• Blueprint as a reusable frontend component library.
• Industry-standard build tooling, including Webpack, GitHub, and CircleCI.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Experience crafting complex user experiences with a strong intuition for good design and usability.
• Experience working with design systems such as Blueprint, Material-UI, or similar.
• Strong frontend coding skills and existing proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of how web technologies work.
• Familiarity with data structures, loading patterns, frontend frameworks, and other technical tools and concepts.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
