Mechanical Design Engineer

Help bring advanced aerospace systems to life through hands-on mechanical design and real-world problem solving. You'll contribute to developing and integrating complex hardware from concept to production, working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to designing, analysing, and integrating mechanical systems and subsystems for V-BAT aircraft and ground support equipment.
• Own mechanical engineering deliverables across the product lifecycle, from concept to field support.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and Flight Operations to ensure designs are buildable and reliable.
• Provide hands-on technical support during testing, demos, and field operations; troubleshoot and implement design fixes quickly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in aerospace or related fields.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software like SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
• Strong foundation in structural design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with engineering calculations to validate design integrity.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards like ASME, ISO, or ASTM.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD requirements and environmental qualification testing.
• Experience with power distribution, hydraulics, or aerospace support systems.
• Experience working with external suppliers or contract manufacturers.
