Description
Help bring advanced aerospace systems to life through hands-on mechanical design and real-world problem solving. You'll contribute to developing and integrating complex hardware from concept to production, working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to designing, analysing, and integrating mechanical systems and subsystems for V-BAT aircraft and ground support equipment.
- Own mechanical engineering deliverables across the product lifecycle, from concept to field support.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and Flight Operations to ensure designs are buildable and reliable.
- Provide hands-on technical support during testing, demos, and field operations; troubleshoot and implement design fixes quickly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in aerospace or related fields.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software like SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
- Strong foundation in structural design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with engineering calculations to validate design integrity.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards like ASME, ISO, or ASTM.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD requirements and environmental qualification testing.
- Experience with power distribution, hydraulics, or aerospace support systems.
- Experience working with external suppliers or contract manufacturers.
