Description
The Developer Platform team at Pave sits at the heart of Pave Engineering, focusing on developer experience as a product.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead initiatives end-to-end, defining how Pave builds software, sets CI/CD and observability standards, and rethinks local development workflows and incident response.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading large, ambiguous projects with cross-team impact
- Improving developer velocity with modern AI tooling
- Defining how AI-assisted and agentic workflows fit into Pave's development loop
- Partnering with engineers across product and data to remove friction and boost developer velocity
- Owning metrics for developer velocity and reliability
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or developer experience
- High developer empathy with a focus on improving workflows
- Proven ability to lead large projects
- Experience with modern AI tooling
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture (GCP or similar)
- Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills
Nice to Have: Experience building internal developer platforms in enterprise SaaS environments.
The tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, Orbstack, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP, Datadog, GitHub Actions, E2B, and Incident.io.
The targeted cash compensation for this position is $195,500 - $264,500.
