Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Fury Team in Columbus, Ohio. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a certain product or set of products.
• Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
• Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing hardware at scale.
• Work with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production.
• Collaborate with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware.
• Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design.
• Travel to suppliers to do initial sourcing work, solve ongoing production issues, and implement quality procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills.
• Knowledge in CAD and production planning tools - ERP, MES, etc.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems.
• Experience with automation and robotics.
• Knowledge in composites and advanced manufacturing.
