Description

We're seeking an experienced Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic engineer to join our team. As a Switch Component Design and Release Engineer, you'll work with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and release switch components used throughout the vehicle. Your expertise will help ensure the Switch component meets customer expectations and Ford requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing switch components using core engineering documents and design rules
  • Collaborating with suppliers to initiate and lead Full-Service Supplier (FSS) delivery of DFMEA, DVP&Rs, 8D's, and other program-specific foundation documents
  • Creating component specifications, quality documents, and drawings with the FSS
  • Conducting technical design reviews with the component supplier
  • Supporting the development of functional specifications, engineering specifications, and diagnostic specifications
  • Working closely with suppliers and quality groups to understand and improve R/1000 and TGW concerns

To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or similar field) and 3+ years of experience related to the development of electromechanical components. A Master's degree and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

This position offers a salary grade 6-8, ranging from $72,480 to $162,120, depending on your skills and experience.
