Description

At Ford Motor Company, we're seeking a talented OTA Deployment Engineer to join our team. As an OTA Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying Over the Air Software (OTA) to company-owned and consumer vehicles. This involves triaging OTA deployment failures, resolving issues, and supporting quality teams, CRC, and service teams in issue resolution and OTA redeployment. You will also perform production verification (End to End testing) of released software on test vehicles, activate software packages to deploy OTA, and support IVS, VADR, ORFIN, and testing teams. Additionally, you will contribute to the requirements and automation of the Cloud Deployment Management System and support the training and standardization of the deployment methodology globally.

Key responsibilities include:

Deploying Over the Air Software (OTA) to company-owned and consumer vehicles Triage OTA deployment failures and resolve issues Supporting quality teams, CRC, and service teams in issue resolution and OTA redeployment Performing production verification (End to End testing) of released software on test vehicles Activating software packages to deploy OTA Supporting IVS, VADR, ORFIN, and testing teams Contributing to the requirements and automation of the Cloud Deployment Management System Supporting the training and standardization of the deployment methodology globally

Requirements include:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation 1 year of experience with each of the following skills: Performing vehicle software updates using Azure Cloud-based Applications Supporting software process and software release to OTA updates to several Electronic Modules in the Vehicle Using Canalyzer, Vector CAN tools, Diagnostic Engineering Tools (DET), In-Vehicle Software (IVS), or Vehicle and Domain Release (VADR) databases to analyze the software levels of the Electronic Modules in the Vehicle Troubleshooting and performing issue resolution in vehicle software updates, over-the-air software updates, or automotive vehicle communications to ensure the vehicle is always having the latest software updates Using GCP, Big Query, Confluence, LookerStudio, and JIRA to track the vehicle software updates Using PostgreSQL database to store vehicle software update details
