Senior Platform Service Software Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a senior software engineer to join its Hardware Infrastructure team. The team delivers highly available platform services and performant web applications that integrate with various data storage systems, data streaming technologies, and data visualization frameworks.

The successful candidate will:

• Design, build, and test performant frontend web applications and scalable backend web services with coherent interfaces.
• Gather requirements and provide consultation to internal customers to understand their processes, needs, and use-cases.
• Maintain services and tools emphasizing reliability, stability, quality of service, and customer happiness.
• Mentor colleagues to help solve difficult technical problems and bring clarity to complex domains.
• Influence and establish guidelines around adopting agentic development to improve the software development lifecycle.

Requirements include:

• 8+ years of delivering reliable and scalable web services and web applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem.
• In-depth understanding of at least one network systems level programming language such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
• Experience with design and development of distributed web services, and detailed knowledge of modular software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Eagerness to experiment with emerging AI tools and to help scale AI use safely across teams.
• Excellent planning, presentation, and general communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth understanding of concurrency, locking, and multi-threading.
• Familiarity with Linux fundamentals.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases as well as unstructured non-relational databases.
