Description
Leads the regional Retirement Operations team to deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient administration of retirement programs while supporting a high-quality associate experience and strong business outcomes. Oversees the day-to-day administration of 401(K), nonqualified plans, pension, and stock programs across the region.
Key accountabilities:
- Oversees administration of 401(k), nonqualified, pension, and stock purchase plans across the region to ensure accuracy, compliance, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and governance partners.
- Partners with stakeholders such as Total Rewards Strategy, plan committees, Finance, Legal, HR Technology, and external providers to evaluate plan operations and design, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop recommendations for changes to programs, processes, investments, and systems.
- Leads and develops team members by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, assigning work effectively, and maintaining accountability for performance, service, and compliance.
- Makes sound operational decisions with limited direction on plan administration, compliance, participant issues, and systems.
Qualifications, experience, and skills:
- Four-year degree is required.
- Typically requires 7-10 years of progressive experience in retirement operations, benefits administration, or total rewards, including people leadership or demonstrated team lead responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and administrative practices related to 401(k), nonqualified, pension, and stock purchase plans.
- Working knowledge of retirement plan investments, fiduciary concepts, and governance processes.
