Description
Spotify's Subscriptions Mission team is seeking a Product Manager to lead the User Understanding team. This team focuses on building the intelligence layer that drives sustainable user and revenue growth through machine learning innovation and commercial strategy.
The successful candidate will set the product vision and multi-quarter strategy for ML- and AI-driven subscriber growth. They will own a portfolio of initiatives, align multiple squads and stakeholders, and drive experimentation roadmaps.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting the product vision and strategy for ML- and AI-driven subscriber growth
- Owning a portfolio of initiatives end-to-end, aligning multiple squads and stakeholders
- Turning behavioral and revenue signals into hypotheses and driving experimentation roadmaps
- Establishing strong measurement practices and ensuring scalable solutions
- Driving lifecycle and personalization strategies that balance user value and revenue outcomes
- Partnering with pricing and packaging stakeholders to design experiments
- Making pragmatic decisions about when to use ML, GenAI, heuristics, or rules
- Ensuring production readiness for ML-backed experiences
- Communicating trade-offs and insights to senior leadership
- Elevating product craft across the mission
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of product management experience, including leading data-driven or ML-backed products. They must have strong technical fluency in experimentation design, A/B testing, causal inference concepts, ML fundamentals, and data infrastructure.
