Packaging Operator

We are seeking a Packaging Operator to join our team at our Wisbech plant. As a Packaging Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet customer specifications and are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and food integrity.

Job Summary The purpose of this role is to operate packaging lines, conduct quality assurance checks, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. You will be responsible for operating Ishida multi-heads, bagging machines, and packaging lines, as well as completing quality assurance checks and paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Ishida multi-heads, bagging machines, and packaging lines
• Conduct quality assurance checks and complete paperwork
• Record checks in QA Upstream and complete MCS data as required
• Ensure metal detectors accurately check for metal in packaging
• Conduct asset care for bagging machines and maintain a clean working area
• Support customer audits and complete thorough handovers at the end of each shift
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and GMP practices
• Carry out sanitation duties and report any issues to supervisors or managers

Requirements

• Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
• 2-3 years of manufacturing experience
• SAP/SCADA experience
• Lamb Weston chemical training, H+S, GMP, and CCP
