Job Summary

Agile Dev Team Members have collective responsibility for the design, development, testing and/or deployment of system functionality. They provide guidance, mentorship and training to direct reporting staff.

The role involves providing technical feasibility using a range of coding methods and adhering to coding standards. You will ensure systems are architecturally sound, high in code and component quality, and are easily modified to support future requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret customer needs and contribute to system design
  • Break down features and write/refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Execute Test-Driven (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
  • Perform impact assessments relating to people, processes and technology
  • Support implementation activities, troubleshoot issues and provide training
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to confirm code and acceptance tests reflect desired functionality

Agile Dev Team Member IV with primarily a development discipline:

  • Code instructions for computer programs/objects/components in multiple applications
  • Configure packaged software
  • Provide expertise in solution design and functionality of business applications
  • Review and validate application technical design
  • Analyze and evaluate existing manual and computerized systems/procedures
  • Research and develop techniques for automation
  • Document and implement programs according to installation standards and conventions

Agile Dev Team Member IV with primarily a testing discipline:

  • Analyze system and business requirements for testability
  • Develop, document, execute and maintain test cases and test data
  • Identify complex errors and analyze results to troubleshoot and execute root cause analysis
  • Report status of test plan execution through defect logs and defect tracking system
  • Conduct audits to ensure test planning and execution adhere to standards and guidelines

Requirements:

  • 9 years total experience, minimum 6 years relevant experience
  • AS400/iSeries Developer proficient in COBOL, CL/CLP, Synon, SQL, SFTP, Guidewire, Java
