Description
The Procurement Department at McLaren Automotive is an exciting and fast-paced environment. As a Commodity Buyer, you will work as part of a high-performing and agile team, reporting directly to the Powertrain Purchasing Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include negotiating and finalizing production supplier contracts for assigned commodities, mitigating cost increases, and driving cost-down activities. You will also collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to develop and deploy sourcing strategies, conduct supplier assessments, and ensure suppliers meet program targets for timing, cost, quality, and technical attributes.
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with MCIPS qualification. You should have previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in the automotive sector. Strong written and oral communication skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail are essential.
