Description
Join a fast-paced team of innovators in the electronic warfare sector as a Manufacturing Engineer at Anduril Industries. With a focus on rapid iteration and cutting-edge defence hardware, you'll be responsible for driving process improvements, ensuring high-quality production, and supporting the development and implementation of new products.
Key responsibilities include owning the manufacturing value chain, contributing to operational excellence through continuous improvement, partnering with Product Quality Engineering to tackle key issues, and collaborating with Design Engineering teams to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFx).
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain, including Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electro-mechanical assemblies
- Contribute to operational excellence with a strong continuous improvement mindset and lead impactful Kaizen events
- Partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) burndowns that tackle key issues both internally and externally to EW Production
- Collaborate with Design Engineering teams in early to late phases of the development process to provide DFx for smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) transitions
- Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes
- Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.
- Work with contract manufacturers across various disciplines (PCBA fab, metallic manufacturing, assembly, etc.) to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development as well as at-scale production
- Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware
- Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, etc.
Requirements include a degree in a technical field, 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, and demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments. Preferred qualifications include experience with RF Products, exposure to or interest in scaling product testing and production, and hands-on experience with software & firmware flashing or end-of-line testing & troubleshooting.
