Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes
• Develop and implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed therapist
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a physical therapist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Current licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state of Illinois
• Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience as a physical therapist assistant
• Certification in a specialty area such as orthopedics or pediatrics
• Bilingual or multilingual skills
