We currently have an opening for a Project Engineering Management, Principal Engineer to join our team in Nepean, Ontario, Canada. As a highly experienced engineering professional, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver Silicon IP projects globally, from initial planning through successful completion. You will act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and customers, representing the product line internally and externally. Your responsibilities will include providing regular project status updates, collaborating with R&D teams to define roadmaps, new developments, and enhancements, and developing and managing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and milestones using industry-standard tools.

You will monitor execution, analyze project performance, and ensure delivery meets quality, schedule, and customer expectations. You will also drive cross-team collaboration, resolve conflicts, and remove blockers to keep programs on track. Additionally, you will enable effective communication across global teams, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. You will mentor team members and promote best practices in execution, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

As a Project Engineering Management, Principal Engineer, you will deliver high-value Silicon IP solutions enabling technologies such as AI, IoT, and autonomous systems. You will strengthen Synopsys' position as a leader in chip design and semiconductor innovation. You will drive operational excellence across global programs, improving predictability and execution efficiency. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Engineering or Applied Science (or equivalent) and approximately 7-12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, Silicon IP, SoC, or related engineering environments. You will have demonstrated experience leading or coordinating complex, cross-functional technical projects or programs. You will have strong experience managing customer expectations and communications. You will have a background in Mixed-Signal IP, SoC, ASIC, or semiconductor development environments. You will have a solid understanding of project/program management methodologies and tools. You will have experience working with quality management systems and delivery processes. You will have familiarity working in Linux-based environments and engineering workflows.
