Description
Microsoft Copilot is seeking a Sr. Director of Internal Communications to lead the narrative, communications rhythm, and employee engagement strategy for one of its high-priority product organizations.
The ideal candidate is a strategic communications expert who can translate business direction into compelling internal narratives. They will partner with senior leaders to develop internal messaging, prepare leadership communications, and create employee-facing materials.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the internal communications strategy for a large product organization.
- Translate leadership vision into clear internal storylines and messaging frameworks.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape internal messaging and create materials.
- Build the internal narrative architecture, connecting product evolution and organizational change.
- Establish and improve communications channels and cadences.
- Work across functions to understand audience needs and create resonant messaging.
- Support communications through periods of change.
- Partner with tactical communications operators.
- Use data and feedback to evaluate communications effectiveness.
- Help leaders create two-way dialogue with employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience in Communications or a related field.
- Experience supporting senior executives and building internal narratives.
- Experience in high-growth technology environments.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and maintain strategic clarity.
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $155,800 – $277,200 per year. In the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the range is USD $202,400 – $303,600 per year.
