We are looking for an early hire within the North America Business Development team. You will work closely with a lean, cross-functional Engine North America team including leadership, product, delivery and compliance to generate, shape and close deals in the North American market.

This role, operating out of our NY regional HQ, is vital in shaping Engine North America’s growth. You will be part of a small, entrepreneurial team who enjoys the challenge of building and problem solving within a highly competitive and regulated market.

Your background

  • 8+ years in business development, partnerships or a revenue focused role in Banking, Fintech or SaaS; proven ability to generate and convert pipeline
  • Significant experience selling BaaS / Banking SaaS to banks across the continent
  • Experience in working with a network of executives in Banks and Credit Unions, in the serving of consumers and small businesses, is a must
  • Experience working within the broader financial services ecosystem (for example payments, lending) and you must have a good grasp of the US regulatory and legislative landscape relating to the above segments.
  • Experience in a consultative type level of client development

  • Track record of building 0 to 1 and high-performance within sales
  • Excellent networker and executive presence
  • Good banking and technology aptitude; highly curious
  • Strong analytical skills and like getting into the detail of understanding client problems
  • Highly self-motivated and self starter
  • Excellent communicator and ability to adapt style to different stakeholders (senior clients, partners, internal teams)
