Ford of Canada is expanding and retooling its vehicle operations at the Oakville Assembly Complex. The company aims to shape the future of vehicle manufacturing in Canada with cutting-edge processes. As a Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer - Underbody Systems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Ford's vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive functional quality objectives by identifying and resolving warranty concerns.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze and resolve chronic and new warranty concerns using tools like IRIS and SIMPSN.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve End of Line (EOL) and First Time Through (FTT) processes.
  • Support launch teams during major vehicle and component launches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Development/Quality/Program/Manufacturing Engineering, preferably with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
  • Eligibility to travel to the United States if required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification).
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
