At Bayer, we're seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide secretarial and administrative support to non-executive employees, small teams, and departments. This role plays a crucial role in supporting site production operations and driving strategic and operational effectiveness.
In this position, you will partner with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across HSE, grower accounting, field and plant operations, HR, accounts payable, procurement, and other areas defined by leadership.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to non-executive employees, small teams, and departments, including preparing, editing, proofreading, and formatting correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes using business software applications.
- Performing data entry and managing paper and electronic document filing and archiving, maintaining accurate records, files, and calendars for efficient organization.
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, diaries, and travel arrangements, and receiving, screening, and relaying telephone messages from internal and external sources.
- Assisting staff in operational activities across your delegated area of expertise, including HSE, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement, and other areas defined by leadership.
- Participating in community outreach events representing the site and support site initiatives and Production System improvements.
- Entering and validating information in computer and data systems, support Production Orders and inventory management, and performing SAP data entry, including maintaining contract and grower vendor data and supporting inbound/outbound trucking fleet during Harvest operations.
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding of site employees, follow and communicate payroll policies, perform audits to ensure compliance, and support the site expense management program by helping employees complete expense reports.
- Understanding the site accounts payable process, review and process freight payments and bulk shipments, schedule deliveries with some supervision, and complete payments to vendors to support smooth financial operations.
- Assisting with payroll management, such as documenting exceptions, validation of time entered ADP and checking information.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of relevant experience, or an AA/BS degree with no relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
- Understanding of manufacturing and/or a strong desire to learn agriculture operations.
- Strong customer focus and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to rapidly connect and analyze data and to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actionable manner.
- Proficiency with business software applications and willingness to learn systems such as SAP and other site-specific tools.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $42,880.00 - $64,320.00, with additional compensation possible through bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and more.
