Description
About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Product Owner to join our IT Employee Experience org and lead our Collaboration & Productivity portfolio. This portfolio includes the core tools used by 9,000+ Pinterest employees every day. As a Staff Product Owner, you will define the strategy, drive the roadmap, partner with IT Systems Engineering on execution, and shape how AI evolves the digital workplace experience for our global workforce.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and adoption for the Collaboration & Productivity portfolio.
- Partner with IT Systems Engineering on execution, platform-wide decisions, cross-app integrations, and operational efficiency across product, engineering, and support.
- Engage stakeholders across business verticals to surface problems, design solutions, and deliver outcomes against defined success criteria.
- Define and report on KPIs that measure portfolio health, adoption, and business impact, using them to inform investment trade-offs and roadmap decisions.
- Lead SaaS vendor relationships and contract renewals to drive accountability, value, and total cost of ownership.
- Use AI to accelerate your own work, while applying judgment and verification to ensure quality.
- Identify, evaluate, and operationalize AI use cases across the portfolio, applying judgment on where AI fits, validating outputs, and maintaining human accountability for final decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience for enterprise Collaboration & Productivity applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Confluence) at a global organization.
- Experience operating at both the strategic level (vision, roadmaps, KPIs, change management) and the tactical level (data analysis, problem-solving, hands-on execution).
- Strong technical-business fluency, with experience building cross-functional relationships across engineering, IT, and business teams to define and deliver on shared objectives.
- Hands-on use of AI to improve speed and quality in real business workflows, with critical evaluation of AI-assisted work (testing, source-checking, data validation) and the integrity to protect sensitive data, avoid over-reliance, and remain accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
- Excellent communicator across technical and non-technical audiences, including VP- and executive-level stakeholders, able to simplify complexity, navigate ambiguity, and build a compelling narrative.
- Outcome orientation: experience translating business needs into technology solutions (gap analyses, current/future-state processes) and delivering measurable impact on business KPIs.
- Track record of working autonomously and influencing without authority, proactive on communication and prioritization, shaping decisions across teams, mentoring peers, and raising the bar for product work around you.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
