Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. The company is looking for a Development Manager to join its team in Kuala Lumpur.
The Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of a game, on time and within budget. This includes carrying out a detailed analysis of the game design, working out project milestones, and agreeing upon these with key technical and creative managers.
The Development Manager will also be responsible for managing the change request process, decomposing change requests into component tasks, and estimating the impact of each change request on project schedule, budget, and resources.
In addition, the Development Manager will provide inspiring leadership by proactively meeting or communicating with employees individually to monitor and prevent potential problems or concerns. They will also participate in development of retention programs, work with team members to develop and pursue a career action plan, and identify potential growth opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of software development experience, 4 years of project management experience, and 3 years of leadership experience. They should also have strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills, effective communication skills across all levels of an organization, and a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
EA is willing to look at relocating the right candidate to Shanghai for this role.
