About the Role

This role involves supervising a team of hourly employees in xAI's logistics organisation. The goal is to become a leader in logistics performance with high inventory efficiency and accuracy, and industry-leading customer service, while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an hourly workforce by assessing performance, providing feedback, and addressing issues
  • Lead by example, take feedback from all levels, and motivate the team to achieve high results
  • Monitor and improve operations to ensure a safe work environment with zero OSHA recordables annually
  • Manage inventory, including acceptance, storage, and issuance of parts and hardware
  • Provide industry-leading customer service and adapt to business needs
  • Lead cost-saving opportunities and identify internal/external cost reductions
  • Ensure cycle counting procedures are followed for internal and external audits
  • Develop and maintain service routes and material replenishments
  • Supervise local shipping and receiving operations
  • Drive projects for logistics improvement
  • Ensure procedures are followed for shelf-life storage and stock rotation
  • Monitor and grow the workforce to ensure team members are challenged and performing well
  • Approve employee time-keeping records

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; or 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with ERP/inventory management software
  • Experience with MRP systems
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in materials management
  • Experience with WarpDrive
  • Leadership or rotational development program completion
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
  • Lean/6-Sigma experience
  • Green/black belt certifications
  • Forklift operation ability
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Organised and self-driven with ability to work independently
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environments
  • Strong Microsoft Office application skills
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment

Additional Requirements

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs., standing, climbing, bending, and carrying required
  • Willingness to travel to other sites (up to 25%)
  • Availability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
