Description
The Director of Programs is responsible for overseeing and leading multiple cross-functional teams in the strategic development, testing, and production of rocket motor systems to achieve project objectives. In this role, you will autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, customers, and third-party corporate partners to own successful delivery of outcomes on multiple programs simultaneously.
Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of program execution across the portfolio of Rocket Motor Systems programs, including schedule, budget, and risk management. You will also maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on program goals and deliverables.
Additionally, you will oversee subcontractor performance and procurement process, ensuring compliance with program requirements, quality standards, and on-time delivery. You will prepare and present contractual deliverables, program status reports, proposals, and other documentation to internal and external audiences.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience managing the development of complex technical systems throughout the product lifecycle. They will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects and driving their on-time, on-budget completion.
You will have excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, finance, and sales. You will also have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, and senior leadership.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Project, and Jira is required, and a willingness to travel up to 50% supporting program objectives and customer engagements is necessary. A U.S. Secret security clearance is also required.
