Description
We are seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Edinburgh Airport. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of cleaners, conducting regular inspections, allocating duties, providing training, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily activities of cleaners, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness meets required standards and address any deficiencies.
- Allocate duties and create rotas to ensure coverage across all areas and shifts.
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training in cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
- Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are stocked, maintained, and used correctly.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure staff follow COSHH and other relevant regulations.
- Maintain records of cleaning schedules, inspections, incidents, and staff performance.
- Communicate with site managers or clients to understand expectations and resolve issues.
- Address attendance, performance, or conduct issues among cleaning staff professionally.
- Assist with cleaning duties when needed, especially during staff shortages or emergencies.
Requirements:
- Reliable and flexible approach.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- IOSH working safely.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn.
- High attention to detail.
- Physically fit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
