Description

You'll lead Mixpanel's Internal Analysis team, shaping the company's data culture and influencing the organization to become more metrics-driven. The team owns the full path from raw data to insights that leaders act on.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop: Build, coach, and grow a high-performing team of Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists.
  • Shape Our Data Culture: Establish clear KPIs, help teams define success upfront, and ensure analytics are engaged as strategic partners.
  • Own the Data End to End: Guide the team across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion to production of trusted tables and reporting artifacts.
  • Partner & Drive Insight: Serve as the senior data partner to leaders across the company, surfacing questions and turning findings into recommendations.
  • Raise the Technical Bar: Continue elevating standards for pipeline reliability, SQL, dbt practices, data modeling, experimentation, and statistical rigor.
  • Communicate & Manage Change: Translate company strategy into priorities and guide your team through evolving business needs.
  • Innovate & Eat Our Own Dog Food: Use Mixpanel to understand Mixpanel and find new ways to combine our tools.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience in data and analytics in a B2B SaaS environment, including 3+ years of people management.
  • Highly effective at driving organizational change and building trust with cross-functional leaders.
  • Strong technical fluency across the full data stack, including ingestion, SQL, dbt, data warehouse design, Python, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with AI, including using AI tools to increase team leverage and evaluating AI-driven capabilities.
  • Understands the Data Science craft and can coach it.
  • Has partnered closely with Product and GTM leaders, with a track record of analytical work that materially changed how a company operates.

Compensation
